Conditions Will Be Great!
It’s ” GAME ON” this Saturday for the Phillips Flurry at the School Forest in Phillips, WI
Looks like great conditions for the second annual Phillips Flurry Snowshoe Run/Walk. Predictions are for light snow on Friday, 1/27/12, and temperatures in the low 20’s on race day. The trails have been packed, the parking lot will be plowed and the tent is going up.

5-Days and Counting
The Phillips Flurry Snowshoe Run/Walk is only (5) days away. Everything is going as planned, including the weather. Light snow today, Monday, 1/23/2012, and race day temperature are predicted to be in the 20’s. Avoid the hassle of race day registration by registering on line. There is still time to mail in your registration or register at The Crazy Loon in downtown Phillips. See you at the Phillips Flurry!

Race Update
What a difference a day makes. The picture at left of the race starting line was taken on Friday, 1/13/12, just after the fresh new 3-4″ snowfall. The trail is well covered. We snowshoed all the trails on Sunday, 1/15/12, and they are in great shape. More snow and colder weather is on its way so we will be in great shape for race day. Preregistration for the $5.00 discount ends on Wednesday, 1/18/12, so get those registrations forms in or register on line. There is still time to get those teams together.

We have over (50) door prizes to be given away to race participants on race day. If you are registered, you are eligible to win a door prize. You must be present to win.

Phillips Flurry Trail Report
Start/Finish Line
Even with the warm weather patterns, the School Forest trails still have snow. Not idea conditions but should provide a great base. Colder weather and several inches of snow are in the forecast. The Phillips Flurry Race committee is predicting great conditions for race day so keep those registrations coming!
