* Teams: Create a team with your friends, family, co-workers or complete strangers! Teams need at least five (5) members, registered in the adult or youth category, and a fun name (please keep it clean). In addition to a discounted entry fee and bragging rights, all team members will be entered into a second drawing for another pair of snowshoes! Teams can include both in-person and virtual participants. Only teams with a minimum of (5) participants registered and completing the 5k adult/youth in-person event will be scored for awards. Team captains of the first (15) teams registered, with the minimum of (5) members, receive a $10.00 gift card to Harbor View Pub & Eatery in Phillips.

*** Child Registration: Includes, post race boxed meal catered by Lola’s Lunchbox, participation medal plus entry into door prize. No socks. Children are eligible to participate in the 5K event. There is no Kids Kilo at the In-Person event.

Race Perks! Registration includes a post race boxed meal catered by Lola’s Lunchbox, a custom design pair of maximum performance wool socks, entry into drawing for great door prizes, including at least (1) pair of snowshoes. Door prize drawing will be held after the 1/23/24 close of online pre-registration.  You must be pre-registered to qualify for door prizes. Door prizes will be available when you pick up your bib and goodie bag on race day. Complimentary race photos will be available online after the event!

Team Divisions (Corporate, Men, Women, Mixed, HS Boys & HS Girls): Each team consists of 5 or more members. Awards will be given to the top team in each division and to the team with the highest number of finishers. Only teams with a minimum of (5) participants registered and completing the 5k adult/youth in-person event will be scored for awards.

Awards: In both the 5k & 10k, custom trophies to the overall male & female winner and medals to the top three in the following age groups: 10-14; 15-19; 20-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+. Children 9 and under will receive a participation medal! In the event we can not hold an actual awards presentation, your awards will be available for pick-up as soon as the timer has the race data tabulated.

Wisconsin State Snowshoe Championships:  The Phillips Flurry will again serve as the Wisconsin State Snowshoe Championships!  Come race against the best in the Badger State in either the 5k or 10k!

Course: Both courses consist of groomed ski trails & packed single track and feature rolling terrain and a few large hills that traverse over the beautiful school forest.

Location: We will not have a heated tent at this years event. All activities, including awards presentation, (weather permitting) will take place outdoors.  The race/run/walk, bib and goodie bag pick up and the outdoor awards presentation (weather permitting) will be held at the Phillips School Forest, N9199 N. Worcester Rd, Phillips, WI. Please carpool when possible as parking is limited.

Results: Virtual participants, be sure to return to the registration website to confirm you completed the 5k, 10k or Kid’s Kilo or click the link below.  You must log in to your RunSignUp account to enter virtual results. Once logged in, click on the “MORE” dropdown tab and select results. Entering your time is optional but you need to confirm completion online by Sunday, January 28, 2024 at 12:00pm noon.

We will mail all virtual Phillips Flurry finisher’s packets and door prizes in approximately 1 week following the event completion date of  January 27, 2024.

Course/Location: You can complete your virtual Phillips Flurry between January 1, 2024 and January 27, 2024.  Registered participants can snowshoe a 5k or 10k on a course of their choosing!  Be creative – we’d love to see where you decide to race.  A special award will be given to the Phillips Flurry finisher who completes their virtual race the furthest away from Phillips, WI.  Recruit your friends from across the country and the globe!  Should you decide to utilize the Phillips School Forest trails to complete your virtual Phillips Flurry, we will have a 5k virtual course well marked on the single-track trails for you to follow.  A Kid’s Kilo course will also be well marked. Please do not snowshoe the original Phillips Flurry course, as it is School Forest policy that no snowshoes, hiking or fat biking is allowed on groomed ski trails except on race day.

To get to the Phillips School Forest trails from Hwy 13, go East on County Hwy H for 3 ½ miles; turn South on Big Elk Road for ½ mile; when the road splits, stay right on Worcester Road to entrance drive.

Wisconsin State Snowshoe Championships:  Although the virtual Phillips Flurry is not a timed event and not eligible for awards, participants can take pride knowing they are part of the Wisconsin State Snowshoe Championships.

Proceeds from the Phillips Flurry help the Price Area Trail Hub, Inc. (PATH), a 501(c)3 organization to promote, develop and maintain silent sport trails and activities in Price County.
